Below are some possible changes for next season for the fundraising situation. Please answer truthfully and in best interest to your family's situation because this survey may determine how we move forward. Thanks

Change #1: $100 per player with no discounts for multiple player families. No fundraising will be done by parents/players.

Registration Fees stay the same as they have, league will NOT provide baseball pants for players but families will be required to purchase the pants for the player. There will be a set buyout price that allows all parents/players to not have to sell any fundraisers. Total season buyout would be $60 for 1 player families, $75 for 2 player families, and $95 for any families with more than 2 players. There will also be a buyout per fundraiser of $35 that you can opt to not do a particular fundraiser. There will also be set minimums for each fundraiser for families to meet. These totals will be based on number of players per family. The buyout decisions will be made at time of registration and payment if doing buyouts will be expected at time of registration also.

Currently there are no "penalties" to families who skate through the season, not really doing any or much fundraising nor paying the buyout. The penalty falls more on the league. We are either trying for months on end after the season ends to track down families and get their money or we are just taking it as a loss to avoid the hassle of getting people tracked down. This whole situation is not fair to the league nor the other parents/players in the league who fulfilled their responsibilities as a member of FRYB&S. Please select one of the following as to what you feel is a fair "penalty" for not doing your part throughout a season.
Thanks

Penalties: Player's can be registered the following year to play, but will not play in a game until funds are paid in full to league.

Penalties: Players are not allowed to register the following year until money owed is paid in full. Payment can be made at time of new registration.

Penalties: Being that this is for the kids and we do not wish to see any child not get to play, penalty issued to parents. Parents will not be permitted to attend any games until funds are paid to league in full. Kids will be allowed to play full season. IF problem continues in that year that the parents were penalized, and no money from previous year or that current year is paid, then players will not be allowed to play.

We at FRYB&S understand with the current times there are families who are struggling to make everyday ends meet and that is more important than anything for them. But, they also want their children to be able to play baseball/softball with all their friends. We want to offer in our league the option of a hardship registration. This registration will allow families to register their children to play for a discounted rate or for free depending on the situation. Payment options may also be looked into. This discount/free registration will be voted upon by the league representative at a preseason meeting. The only other requirement asked through the hardship registration is that family HAS TO sell fundraisers. The hardship registrations will be a case by case basis and be limited to 3 per season. The league would not survive if we allowed everyone to apply for this although we trully wish every kid could play for free. If your family is in need of this assistance you will be required to attend one meeting to explain your situation to the board of FRYB&S before the season starts. Your explanation does NOT have to reveal any in depth, personal information. For example if there is a family member you are responsible for dealing with medical issues that is all that needs said, no name nor medical condition needs to be revealed.
