This is a quick, open experiment.

Collectively we're pretty bad at understanding what housing actually does, and how it improves our lives. There is no equivalent of 'Maslow's Hierachy of Needs' for housing.

So let's try writing one.

This experiment has no particular agenda, it's just an interesting thing to try, which I'll then share under Creative Commons.
