LHP Regionalization Survey

The Scheduling Committee has put together the following proposal for the consideration of the LHP Regionalization Team. We apologize for the short notice, but the deadline for this survey will be Monday, September 24th.

Proposal:

Combine the LHP AIC and the LHP Trauma positions, and create a LHP 1st position (2030), similiar to the SMC System.

The AIC/TR would run the board at LHP until 1800, and then be relieved of AIC duties by the LHP 1st if necessary.

The LHP AIC/TR would always be scheduled at LHP so the current situation of having the AIC stay until the Trauma physician arrives would be eliminated.

The LHP 1st late would receive the next day priority currently assigned to the LHP AIC. (The LHP AIC/Trauma maintains the stipend and priority for LHP Trauma)

There would be two LHP 2030s available for placements in late rooms at LHP, but they could be assigned to other facilities as a late (i.e. PAH for Markey cases).

The LHP regionalized physicians would have the same number of lates scheduled at LHP. (The AIC will be replaced by the LHP 1st Late.)
