Study title
A Survey for the O La Go La HRS page.

Invitation paragraph
We are a Not for Profit organisation set up to provide supervised support to those suffering from depression, or other stress related mental illness who are in need of emotional support and encouragement. We offer a safe online community through our facebook page and our website. We are inviting you to take part in this study.

What is the purpose of the study?
In Ireland 527 people died by Suicide in 2009. There was a 43% increase in Suicide in the first 1/4 of 2010. O Lá Go Lá believes that a cause of stress related illnesses can be linked back to the pressure put on young people making such important decisions like there career choice. The purpose of this study is to gather information that will allow us to improve our services so that we can meet the needs of all our members.

Why have I been invited to participate?
You are being invited to take part in this research because we value the opinions of the members. We want to develop the page so that it can give support to those who need it. Your opinion can contribute much to our understanding and knowledge.

Do I have to take part?
No, you do not have to take part. It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part.

What does participation in the research involve?
Your participation would mean answering a questionnaire. The questionnaire will cover such areas as: The level of support given on the page, improvements, Admins and members needs.

Are there any risk or benefits to you from being involved?
There are no known risks or benefits to you from being involved and you will not benefit personally. However, we hope that we and others may benefit from what we learn as a result of this study.

What will happen to the results of the research study?
The results of this research will be used in a research report that forms part of our assessment of the HRS page. We will also present the results orally to our supervisor and CAO.

Who is organising the research?
This study is being conducted by Admins from research and recruitment. Our study is being supervised by Fiona Fitzpatrick Manager of O Lá Go Lá.
