Introduction

You have been invited to participate in a survey on networking and innovation. The following sections contain questions about company networking activities, networking relationships, and demographics. The following definitions will provide a better understanding of the terminology used in the survey.

Definitions

1. Networking is a social process of forming relationships with other individuals, providing communication opportunities that may result in benefits to both individuals.
2. Internal networking relationships are communication relationships formed with individuals within your company. Examples of internal networking may include individuals in your department, in other departments, in other groups, and in business units.
3. External networking relationships are communication relationships formed with individuals outside the company. Examples of external networking may include customers, suppliers, individuals in associations, and former colleagues.

Instructions

All of the questions will ask for a single answer. The answers will use a rating scale based on most favorite and least favorite choice. Questions may use any of the following rating scales choices, and examples are below:

(1) Strongly Agree, Agree, Undecided, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree,
