Non Parental Care for children with Down syndrome,

You are invited to participate in a survey conducted from a student at Florida Institute of Technology, Department of Psychology. This survey is part of a research proposal on families with child with Down syndrome and their experiences with non –parental care, such as daycare, afterschool care or home based care. The survey will provide critical information to encourage continued research about the effects of non-parental care and the development of adaptive behavior skills in Down syndrome. The results will guide further research, advocacy for working single parents and dual working parents.

Families who have children with a Down syndrome are encouraged to participate in the survey. It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be will remain confidential.
