Under the A4C Terms and Conditions staff will be paid an ehancement of hourly rate of 30% for Monday-Saturday (midnight) and enhancement of their hourly rate of 60% for all day Sunday.

On a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - all staff irrespective of grade or work time equivalent (wte) will be paid 30% enhancement of their hourly rate.  Any session on a Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night, Sunday day and Sunday night has the potential to be paid as described below.

1. Work a 37.5 hour week and an extra hours from weekend are returned as compensatory rest. Payments would adhere to those mentioned above.  Those who are band 8a are not allowed overtime so are forced to pick option 1

2. Take an extra hours worked at weekend as overtime paid at 150% hourly rate.   OT does not start until you have reached 37.5 hours work (affecting part time staff)

3.  Allow staff to choose either path per session.

What ever path we take the sessions will not be worked as on call but on site work.

Under the new system of A4C terms .  Would your preference be

Work a 37.5 hour week (compensatory rest for weekend work)

Work extra hours over 37.5 hours as overtime (150% hourly rate)

Implication of 12 hour night shift would be the 3 hours "owed" to department on Mon-Thu (you would have worked 15 hours the day of and day after the night session). This time would be paid back by reducing Over Time (OT) rate (3 hours less OT) or reducing compensatory rest (3 hours less) from weekend shift working.
