We are seniors from Livonia Senior High School, and are currently enrolled in the Engineering Design and Development Class (EDD) offered at our school through RIT and their high school affiliation program, Project Lead the Way (PLTW). EDD is an engineering research course in which students work in teams to research, design and construct a solution to an open-ended engineering problem. Students apply principles developed in the four preceding courses and are guided by a community mentor. We must present progress reports, submit a final written report and defend our solutions to a panel of outside reviewers at the end of the school year.
However, a crucial part of the design process is to prove our suggested problem statement through the use of surveys. This is where you, the surveyed individual comes into play. We cannot reveal our problem statement due to confidentiality clauses, but we sincerely ask you to fill out this survey to the best of your abilities so we can use the information you provided to assist our market research and enhance the outcome of this project.
We recently conducted an initial survey which concluded that our projected problem statement is viable and a solution is obtainable. This survey is directed to indicate what you, the consumer, directly want and need because we want to ensure consumer satisfaction by creating a product that adapts to those wants and needs.
If you are interested in becoming more involved with our project and problem statement, or would like to help on a more in-depth basis, please feel free to contact us with any questions at the e-mail listed at the end of this page and we will gladly get back to you.
PLEASE DISREGARD THIS SURVEY IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE TESTING AND/OR TREATMENT OF INGROUND POOL WATER.
