You are invited to participate in our survey of participation unit workloads. In this survey, approximately 20-50 people will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about the kinds of activities involved in preparing and delivering a participation unit, and the time taken for each task. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete the questionnaire each month.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point without penalty. The project has been approved by the Macquarie University Human Research Ethics Committee: project number and date.

The reason for seeking Ethics approval is that although an exercise such as this one which is designed to improve the delivery of teaching unit and to improve a University procedure (see the email which contained this link for a more comprehensive explanation) would not normally require Ethics approval, it is possible that the exercise may generate some data which is insightful enough to warrant publication in journal or other publication.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. That is, it will be analysed according to unit type, for example, short placement unit, group project, internship unit etc, and individual units will not be identified. You will be given a unique identification code (for example, "Pace Workloads1) and your information will be coded and will remain confidential.
