SDA Physicians,
Adequate regional representation on the board was a significant concern for us last year. This concern was identified through discussions with shareholders and the consultants and then discussed at the strategic planning meeting in November where a majority of the shareholders present felt that it was time to consider some type of representational board. Since that time, the composition of the board has changed and because of that the board is now seeking further input from the group regarding this issue. The results of the following survey will help the board determine a course of action.

We should change the board election process to ensure that the board will have members from every region at all times. |

Our current board election process works fine, no changes necessary. |

We should change the board election process to ensure that the board will always have members from 1st call, OB, and heart teams. |

I believe that board members have done a good job of representing SDA as a whole, not specific regions, teams or individuals. |

It is important to have each region respresented at the board to ensure adequate information flow/communication. |

I am concerned that a representational board could lead to partisanship which could negatively impact SDA as a whole. |

This is an issue that should be addressed prior to our next board elections. |
