The Place will be a community interest company centered around our restaurant providing low cost, high quality food and children’s activities to the public while offering training, work experience, workshops and employment opportunities to young people at risk of no positive onward destination. To keep our prices as low as possible, our menu will change daily and be based on whatever quality ingredients we can cost-effectively source at any given time. We will utilise a set pricing structure, with all starters, main courses and desserts costing the same every day, no matter what the actual dishes may be. We’re hoping this will be around the £1.50 level for starters and desserts and £3.50 for mains. Additionally, food for younger kids will be a pick and mix of healthy, tasty toddler favourites with a low cost per portion (30p ish). We will also offer the opportunity to those who can afford it to donate a little bit more towards the running of the enterprise and the provision of workshops and activities for the young people we support. |

Would set prices of £1.50 for soups, starters and desserts and £3.50 for main courses along with the pick and mix option for wee people make eating out easier to afford and plan for? |

Assuming the food is as good as we’re promising (it will be), and you could afford it, how much extra do you think you might be willing to donate towards the running of the project? |

The Place will offer a take away/heat at home service to parents and families with limited budgets and time - dishes from our restaurant menus cooked with care from scratch and packaged for easy re-heat. Nutritious, tasty and cheap. We’re currently working through some options for this and could use some input. While this will be aimed at families, we know that can mean any number of people so it won’t assume we all have two parents and two kids or whatever. It will adapt and the price will be based on, hopefully, about £2.50 per adult portion, £1.50 per small person. |

First of all, does the above sound like a good idea? |
| |
Idea One – Yer Tea. A box with enough bits and pieces to feed your family for the night, simple. You might have to stick something in the oven for half an hour or boil some pasta. Sound useful? |
| |
Idea Two – Yer Day. A box with everything you need to feed your pack for a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. As cheap as we can make it. |
| |
Idea Three - Yer Week. Same as Yer Tea but for more than one night, maybe even for the working week. Healthy, tasty dinners sorted for you and the brood. This will be an order in advance kind of deal. Worth a look? |
