Career Development Survey – Cameco Exploration

In order to assist in planning for ongoing professional development requirements of our department, we would appreciate your assistance in completing this brief survey. This survey is designed to give employees an opportunity to provide input on the needs, interests and wishes of our team with respect to personal growth and to help management assist individuals in progressing up their career ladders. Obviously, your supervisors will also be polled to see where they have identified training needs for our team as well.

This survey, however, consists of four basic parts, summarized as follows;

1. DEMOGRAPHIC DATA – this component involves collection of basic information for statistical purposes and should be helpful in “benchmarking” our exploration group.

2. OPINIONS ON THE CURRENT TRAINING AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT PATH – This is a long hand text section asking your opinion on how we are doing with respect to training and career development today and how you think that we should move forward in the future.

3. SELECTION OF TOPICS FOR FOCUSSED TRAINING – This is a tick box section with optional comment fields in which you can indicate your interest (or not) in a number of possible exploration related training themes. Add-ons are most welcome.

4. A PERSONAL REQUEST FOR A TRAINING/MENTORING PROGRAM - this is an optional, long hand text where you can indicate your personal training and/or mentoring “wish list”.

You are encouraged to complete all four survey sections. All survey information will remain confidential and will only be used in a general way to more effectively identify and plan for future training opportunities. Section 4 can be used as a starting point for a personalized training plan for employees.

If you wish to remain anonymous, please do so, but do not complete section 4. Digital or hardcopy replies are fine.
