InsightsHub Video Analysis is a tool designed to help researchers manage and extract value from video research assets such as focus groups and customer interviews. It provides automated, timestamped transcription with speaker detection, sentiment analysis, and AI-generated executive summaries. By integrating these capabilities natively within InsightsHub, you can quickly turn hours of raw video into actionable insights and timestamped quotes for stakeholder presentations.
How do I upload and process video files?
You can ingest video content into InsightsHub through multiple methods to begin the automated analysis process:
- Log in to your QuestionPro account and navigate to InsightsHub.
- Select an existing repository or create a new one.
- Click the Import Data button to manually upload files in formats such as mp4, mov, avi, and mpeg.
- Alternatively, use the cloud storage integration to upload files directly from Google Drive or SharePoint.
- Once the upload is confirmed via an in-app notification, the system processes the video in the background.
- You will receive an in-app notification once the transcription and AI analysis are complete.
Note: If you open the File Analysis view while processing is still underway, a progress bar will display legends such as "Analyzing content" or "Drawing up conclusions." During this time, the Summary, Insights, and Tags tabs will be locked until the process is finished.
How do I navigate the File Analysis view?
The File Analysis view is the central workspace for reviewing your video research. It is divided into several key areas:
- Video Player: Located on the left, allowing you to watch the footage alongside the data.
- Transcript Area: Displays the detected speakers, text blocks, and clickable timestamps. Clicking a timestamp will play the video from that exact moment.
- Tabbed Analysis: Use the Summary, Insights, and Tags tabs on the right to access AI-generated content and organization tools.
How do I generate and manage AI summaries?
The Summary tab allows you to condense long sessions into digestible briefs.
- As soon as the video processing and transcription is done, AI summary wil be automatically generated
- Recap: View a natural language summary that highlights the key discussion points from the entire transcript.
- Actions: Review AI-extracted next steps or strategic recommendations based on the participant dialogue.
- You can copy this text to share with stakeholders or provide feedback on the summary quality to help improve future AI performance.
How do I extract and verify AI-suggested insights?
The Insights tab helps you identify powerful "voice of customer" evidence without manual searching.
- Click Suggest Insights to have the AI identify significant quotes and moments.
- Review each suggestion, which includes a clickable timestamp and the associated text.
- Accept or Reject: You can manually approve suggestions or bulk select multiple insights to add them to your project.
- Accepted insights will display metadata, including the source (AI or User) and the date they were committed.
Please note that for AI insights to be generated, the video must have a minimum length of 5 minutes.
How do I organize research using tags?
The Tags tab provides a centralized view of the themes and sentiments detected throughout your video assets.
- Theme and Sentiment: View tags automatically suggested by AI or those you have applied manually from the transcript context menu.
- Tag Counts: See how many times a specific tag has been applied across your insights.
- Centralized Access: Clicking on any tag will reveal a list of all associated insights and phrases, complete with their original timestamps and metadata.
