As part of the ongoing process to continuously improve the quality of engineering education, specifically engineering design graphics, we are developing a concept inventory to measure students' basic understanding of fundamental graphic concepts.  Concept Inventories are a type of educational assessment tool that can help educators find out about students’ understanding of a topic.

You are asked to answer every question to the best of your ability.  We will not be able to answer any questions while you are working on the problems.  You will need to select an answer before moving on to the next question. You may move back to earlier questions once an option is selected.

The first screen of the test is a consent form. Please complete it before you begin. The consent agreement will be separated from the test performance when you submit it. Only the research team will have access to the results.  Great care will be taken to ensure the confidentiality of any provided information.

If you do not agree to the consent terms, we will not include your data in the project.  If you have any concerns or questions regarding the project, please contact the appropriate person listed on the survey.  We appreciate your willingness to participate.  Your responses will be used to improve the items and instrument as a whole.

Development of this test is part of an ongoing research project. Data gathered through your participation in this project will be used for statistical analysis but will not impact your grade in the course in any way. If you are not 18 years of age or older, please do not consent to participate in the research.

We will work to make sure that no one sees your survey responses without approval. But, because we are using the Internet, there is a chance that someone could access your online responses without permission. In some cases, this information could be used to identify you.
