This questionnaire is for my third year dissertation project in psychology and investigates personality and romantic relationships, so please do not take part if you are not comfortable answering questions on that topic.

Participation in this study is voluntary, but if you do chose to take part you will be asked to complete a short personality questionnaire. You will also be asked to read a short vignette on the topic of relationships and then answer some questions based on what you have read. Participation takes approximately 5-10 minutes.

In order to take part, you must be female, over 18 years old and heterosexual. All data will be kept anonymous as no names will be taken.
You are able to withdraw from this study at any time up until you hand your questionnaire back in. Once your data has been collected, there is no way to distinguish it from the other data as names are not taken, so cannot be removed from the study.

Thank you for taking part in this study. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of personality on women’s reactions to a potential rival.
You are still entitled to withdraw from this study by not returning the questionnaire. Once you have done this it will not be possible to withdraw your data.
