You are invited to participate in a survey of drug courts being conducted by Brian Fuleihan from the University of South Carolina's Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. This survey is the first part of a two-stage process designed to collect the opinions and experiences of juvenile drug court teams throughout South Carolina. It will be used to learn about similarities and differences across drug court programs that are currently operating in South Carolina, gather various experiences and viewpoints of team members, and report the findings of the survey. Results should be useful in guiding decision-making surrounding the expansion and further development of juvenile drug courts in South Carolina.
The survey is intended for juvenile drug court program coordinators, and should take around 10 minutes to complete. You will be asked about general characteristics of the juvenile drug court program, such as local demographics, target population, program structure, team structure, adherence to recommended strategies, and other information regarding your drug court program.
There is a question at the end which asks that all team members be identified with both a name and email address. This information will be crucial for follow-up interviews of team members in the state who participate, or have participated in the past, on a juvenile drug court team. We ask for names only for tracking purposes, and none of a respondent’s contact information or survey answers will be shared with anyone, or presented in any way that it would be possible to identify them. Any report will simply summarize findings across respondents.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact:
