Every year Utah Legislators are asked to pass new laws in education. Very few are educators so it is difficult for them to decipher what will serve the system best as a whole. For this purpose, our representatives have formed the Education Task Force will the goal to create a "guide" against which they can measure the quality of proposed legislation. Furthermore, this guide will be set upon the foundation of a 10 year vision for education in Utah. The review of our current system has been extremely thorough, with many stakeholders present. We are all welcome to go to the Capitol and participate in the discussion, but our schedules make it too impractical. So, we would like to bring the Capitol to you! Focus Ogden, will be compiling data from Ogden City School District parents, teachers and students to deliver to our Legislature. This is an excellent opportunity, you can help Utah shape education by answering a few simple questions!
