You have now finished the Introdction to Programming section looking at BBC Basic

Let's have a look at what you've covered, and what you have learnt.

Before you started this option, did you know anything about computer programming?

No, nothing at all

I knew what it was, but hadn't done any programming

How difficult has this section been

Extremely difficult, I've struggled a lot and my programs didn't work

Very difficult, sometimes I could make the programs work and sometimes I couldn't

Difficult, but achieveable, and my programs worked

Not difficult, Everything I programmed worked correctly in the end

The idea for using BBC Basic was to demonstrate what early computer programming was like. Was it useful to have done this?

Yes, it was good see what early programming was like and to understand the difficulties involved.

It was good to see, but not sure how useful it was to then do the programming

This wasn't useful, looking at old programming hasn't helped me.

As a programmer, how do you think your programming skills have improved?

I still don't have any programming skills

My skills haven't changed

My skills have improved a bit

I'm a much better programmer now, than I was when we started.

Part of the purpose of options lessons is to enjoy something different. How much have you enjoyed this section?

It's been really interesting and a great introduction to old programming

Yes, I've enjoyed it. It was good to see what programming was like long ago
