QUESTIONNAIRE Privacy Expectations in Online Social Networks
You are invited to participate in a study of Privacy Expectations in Online Social Networks.
We hope to learn about the privacy issues and concerns within the online social networking scene that affect students’ expectations of privacy. You were selected as a possible participant in this study because you are a critical representative of the target population of university students.
If you decide to participate, we will ask you to complete an online questionnaire, which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. We cannot and do not guarantee or promise that you will receive any benefits from this study but you will be provided with a final report outlining the findings of case studies.
Any information that is obtained in connection with this study and that can be identified with you will remain confidential and will be disclosed only with your permission, except as required by law. If you give us your permission by clicking on the Continue button below and completing the questionnaire, we plan to publish the results and make them widely available in order to aid subsequent projects in this area. In any publication, information will be provided in such a way that you cannot be identified.
Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.
Your decision whether or not to participate will not prejudice your future relations with The University of New South Wales. If you decide to participate, you are free to withdraw your consent and to discontinue participation at any time without prejudice.
