Tech Survey

Introduction

You have been asked to participate in a National Survey of Technology in Developmental Education. This survey consists of three parts:

1) what hardware is being used,
2) how software is being integrated through this hardware into instruction, and
3) a description of the demographics of your school.

Completing the survey should take about 15 to 20 minutes. If you need to stop at any point, your answers will be saved, and you can return to finish it later.

Within this survey, we are asking you to describe how technology is integrated into your developmental education program (hereafter "dev ed") at your school. This is not how you personally use technology, but instead what technology is available and how you perceive that technology is used by yourself and others in your entire dev ed program.

Within this survey, we are defining “developmental education or dev ed” broadly to be a program including course based, instructional programs such as traditional developmental courses (i.e., reading, writing, math, study skills) as well as non-course based programs such as tutoring programs, supplemental instruction/linked courses, workshops, grant funded programs (e.g., TRIO, Title III, Perkins, etc.), advising, disability services, and so forth that are coordinated through learning assistance centers or other organizational entities on your campus. We also want to explore how technology in dev ed programs is delivered on-campus and online (whether it be purely online, or as a hybrid where students receive some instruction online while other instruction face-to-face on-campus).

Thank you in advance,
