Imagine a stranger strikes up a conversation with you in a cafe.
How do you react? Why might you react the way you answered the previous question? What makes something new? It is a waste of time to try new things. It is a good idea to travel to unfamiliar places. An essential part of my life is to travel to places I've never been to before. It is important to visit the same place on a regular basis. Traveling is a waste of time and money. When visiting a new place it is my top priority to try the local cuisine. My favorite way to travel is to return to destinations I have been to before but with new people to accompany me. The whole reason that I return to a destination is so I can revisit old haunts. It is important to find new cool places when I return to a place. When I’m lost in a strange place I’m a little nervous. It is important to meet the locals when I return to a place I've been to before. At a party, it is more important to talk to people I don't know rather than talk to friends. Talking with strangers is the best part of life. It is beneficial to meet people who are different from me. A cool thing about attending weddings is that you get to meet friends of your friends. At a party, it is most important to talk to my friends. The whole reason for going to parties/gatherings is to meet people I don’t know but I have heard of/recognize. I’d rather avoid a local person than ask them for directions when I’m lost. You are at a party where you know the other guests to varying degrees (some are friends, some are friends of friends, some you've never met or heard of). Who would you want to talk to first? Please rank the order in which you’d seek conversation with the following: friends of friends people you don't know but have heard of/recognize people you don't know at all It is important to learn about something new every day. Any ideas other than my own are stupid. I watch TV for the sole reason of finding out about new ideas. I like getting tidbits of information from TV shows. I’m proud to say that I plan my day around TV programs that give me new ideas. It is important to read lots of books to explore new ideas. Hearing about other people’s ideas that are different from my own is a great reason to converse. It is an essential part of my life to learn about other people’s ideas that are different from my own. |
