Welcome:

You have been invited to complete a survey on working relationships between reporters and photojournalists in North Carolina. This research will help me complete my doctoral dissertation. As a journalist with over 20 years experience, I'm examining how these two groups work together and assess the relative news value of news stories and photographs. The questionnaire only takes a few minutes to complete.

It is extremely important for you to provide your views and opinions. At the end of the survey you will have an opportunity to tell in your own words what you think is important about this topic. Your responses are critical to the study.

Your participation is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. All information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, please contact me, Prof. Bob Carey, at (704) 406-3803 or by email at the email address specified below.
