Accents and Dialects in the North East of England

Hello,

my name is Mike Pearce and I’m a lecturer in English language at the University of Sunderland. I’m carrying out research on the accents and dialects of the North East of England.

Thanks for agreeing to complete this survey, which will take about 15 minutes. The survey is in three parts. The first part asks you a few questions about yourself, where you live, and how you feel about where you live. The second part asks you to think about the accents and dialects of people who live in the North East. The third part asks a few questions about your character and personality. You will also be invited to leave your name and contact details, which will be entered into a PRIZE DRAW for store tokens.

Individual survey responses will be kept strictly confidential. They will be reported only in the aggregate. If you have questions about the survey or the procedures, or you prefer to fill in a paper version, contact me on 0191 515 2158 or by email at the email address below.

Thank you very much for your time and support. Please start now by clicking on the Continue button below.
