Welcome to the ROANOKE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS COMPENSATION SURVEY, NOVEMBER 2008!
INTRODUCTION
The Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) has launched an effort to evaluate critically its compensation system with an eye toward implementing potentially significant changes for the 2009-10 school year. “Compensation” includes both pay and benefits.
A nine member team has been established to lead this effort. Its members are as follows:
Curt Baker – Deputy Superintendent Dr. Vella Wright – Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning Greg Johnston – Principal, Oakland Intermediate School Billie Kay Wingfield – Executive Director, Human Resources Ron Emery – Director, VEA Uniserv Kelly Miller – Addison Middle School Bill Birdlebough – Breckinridge Middle School Walter Hicks – RCPS Facilities Sandra Burks – Director, Human Resources
Additional support is being provided by Titan Group Consulting (regarding employee pay) and Willis/HRH (regarding employee benefits).
A big part of the effort is to solicit input from employees from across the division. Your participation in this survey is an important part of this effort.
