AI-Powered Question Generation – LivePolls
This upcoming feature in Livepolls helps automate the process of quiz or poll creation by allowing users to upload structured academic content in PDF or images format.
The system uses AI to extract content and generate relevant multiple-choice questions (MCQs), significantly reducing manual effort and standardizing assessments across departments.
Users will be able to:
- Choose between quiz or poll output formats
- Upload PDF documents or images with embedded text
- Generate MCQs based on the content
- Review, edit, and approve AI-generated questions before publishing
In your Workspace, you’ll see two options: + New Poll and Build with AI. Select Build with AI to start generating questions from your documents.
In the Upload Screen, use the file picker to upload a PDF or image (JPG/PNG) file. File size must be between 10KB and 5MB.
You can also choose whether you want to generate a Poll or a Quiz at this step.
Yes. Enter a topic or instruction in the Prompt Box to customize your generated questions. Example: “Generate basic MCQs from chapter 3: Photosynthesis.”
The Preview Screen displays all suggested questions. You can:
- Expand a question card to review the question and its options.
- Select or deselect questions to include.
- Finalize by clicking Create Poll/Quiz.
You can refine the output by editing your prompt and regenerating questions. Click the edit (pencil) icon to update your prompt, then click send to generate a new set of questions.
Yes. Open your poll/quiz and click Build with AI. The system will default to the correct format and allow you to import selected AI-generated questions without duplicates.
In both new and existing quizzes, AI-generated questions are marked with an AI icon below the question number. This makes it easy to identify and track which questions were created by the AI versus added manually.
