Identifying Obstacles to Foreign Language Learning
The purpose of this study is to identify attitudes that may impede students who are studying a foreign language. It is hypothesized that students with high levels of Foreign Language Anxiety and/or high levels of xenophobia or racism will have marked difficulty in second language learning as compared to students with low levels of Foreign Language Anxiety and/or low levels of xenophobia or racism. It is additionally hypothesized that students who exhibit low levels of Foreign Language Anxiety and/or low levels of xenophobia or racism will show increased success in learning a foreign language.
