CQUniversity
Attitutes of academic staff teaching International Students
The purpose of this project is to identify academic teaching staffs perceptions of, and attitudes to teaching international students at AICs.
Academic staff participants in this project are from CQUniversity - Australian International Campuses (AICs).
In the context of a multicultural student body, typical of CQUniversity, students bring to learning a wide range of perceptions connected to issues such as language, culture, learning style, prior learning, and previous experience amongst others. Similarly, teachers bring to teaching a particular teaching approach, professional experience, personal beliefs, attitudes, misconceptions and so on. This study aims to throw more light on how teachers at AICs go about teaching and could improve their understanding of, and adapt their teaching to, a diverse body of students consistent with emergent demands driven by the internationalisation of education.
