De Montfort University
Assessing the effects of feedback on students' satisfaction and performances
Business Schools, the providers of the MBA degree, have often been criticised for not adequately equipping students with the necessary skills required for the market place. MBA providers appear to be addressing the issue majorly through a restructuring of curriculum. Research addressing the impact of adequate and quality feedback has been limited.
The purpose of this research will be to investigate a relationship between quality feedback in an MBA programme and the level of satisfaction derived by students from the programme. Thereafter, the viability of increased student feedback within an MBA environment will be considered using appropriate economic models.
Data collection will be primarily through questionnaires distributed to present and past students of the De Montfort, South Africa. Interviews of faculty members and administrators in the school will also be conducted to appreciate the problems and constraints associated with providing quality feedback to students.
