I am surveying a group of high school principals in several state contexts. Email is the most efficient way of getting responses. The results of the survey are going to inform the interview participant sample selection and construction of the interview protocol.

Project Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the role fo the urban public high school principal as he or she addresses accountability interests from varied sources. The study will specifically investigate the interplay of demands from bureaucratic, professional, and moral agents.
This study will add to the literature on educational leadership and urban school reform. Further, the work of social justice educational goals in the principalship will be advanced.
