Project Abstract

There is abundant research available that explains the importance of marketing to the Millennials and the difficulty in doing so. Studies have proven that nontraditional marketing techniques should be used in order to gain the attention of these consumers. Methods that use the Internet, videos, and special "hip" events have been successful with this generation.

There is not a lot of secondary research available that specifically focuses on understanding how the Millennials talk about vehicles, their lifestyle, and other things that appeal to them. There are suggested marketing techniques describing possible ways to communicate various products to this generation, but there is not a lot of information available that has examined specific words and phrases that this generation uses in their day-to-day lives.

In order to complete the class requirement, our research project will focus on understanding how to reach the millenial generation. We intend to develop a questionnaire that will contain questions related to lifestyle, vocabulary, and ideas specifically as they relate to vehicles.
