Project Description
Quantitative Research using Survey method

Project Abstract
There is nearly universal agreement that learning is best achieved when students actively engage in learning processes, share ideas and pay attention to selected topics. However, there is little consensus on instructional methods to facilitate learner participation in online learning communities. This study investigates whether online course participation patterns can be explained by differences in the students¡¯ learning styles. Implications for instruction will be also discussed on the final report. The numbers of postings and the number of accesses will be captured and used to determine three levels of community participating patterns: Proactive participants, Lurkers and Inactive participants.
