The issue that we will be studying for Walgreens is who is shopping at the store as far as demographically, what they are shopping for, and why they chose this particular store. The reason this is being researched is so that the General Manager, Mr. Homer, and the company as a whole can reach their potential customers more effectively through advertising and inventory. As of now, the store employees and management are trying to advertise to a very general public, but would be interested in finding out more specifically who they should be targeting. With as much money as they spend on advertising and carrying specials such as coupons, it would be comforting for them to know how effectively they are reaching the needs of their customers. Although Walgreens carries a large variety of products, there is always room for improvement and expansion. The store in general carries many products not only for personal needs, but also for household needs. What is great about Walgreens is that you can get prescriptions filled, develop film, buy some groceries or snacks and some personal items while at one location. But, what they want to know is what else they should carry and what they should consider getting rid of in order to better satisfy those people who shop there regularly.
