In-Depth Interviews (IDI)

In-Depth Interviews (IDI) is a feature within the Synthetic platform that generates quick qualitative-style insights and a summarized report based on your workbook cohort.

Instead of conducting live interviews, the system synthesizes existing community data to simulate interview-like insights. This helps you generate insights which includes:

• Quick summary
• Key takeaways
• In-depth summary
• Insightful quotes
• Similarities and differences
• Recommended action

Think of it as a fast, AI-powered summary of what in-depth interviews might reveal — using your existing data.

Once you have created a workbook, follow these steps:

1. Open a Workbook: Go to the Synthetic platform and open the workbook you want to analyze

2. Select “In-Depth Interview (IDI)”: Click on the In-Depth Interviews (IDI) option within the research mode.

3. Specify member count: Specify the number of members to include in the interview (between 1 and 50).

4. Add questions:
   • Use QuestionPro AI to auto-generate questions by clicking the Ask question button.
   
   • Or add your own questions.
   

5. Generate report: Click on the Generate report button.

The system will analyze the cohort data by asking all the selected questions to the top selected members and produce quick insights which includes:

• Member responses

• Quick summary
• Key takeaways
• In-depth summary
• Insightful quotes
• Similarities and differences
• Recommended action
