Question-randomization

Randomization is a technique used to avoid order bias, which happens when the order of answer choices affects responses. People often favour choices at the beginning or end of a list because they remember them better or choose them to save time. To reduce order bias, randomize the order in which answer choices are presented.

• Click on “Question Randomization” under the Kebab menu (3 dots) in the block options.



• In the pop-up, you'll see all the questions listed under 'Current Display Order.' These questions will always appear in the order shown. Use the up and down arrows on the left to reorder the questions



• Use the left and right arrows next to the randomization option to add the selected question to that category.









• Finally, click the 'Save' button to save the question randomization.



• To test the randomization setup, use the preview option for that block.

There are three randomization categories

• Randomization Options: Display all the questions under this option in a random order.



• Randomly display: To show a limited number of questions from the list you have under this option.



• Don’t display: To hide the questions you've placed under this option
