Data Sharing Options

Data Sharing Options is a feature available in the Community > Settings that enables community managers to enhance transparency and engagement among members. By activating this feature, community admin could share live updates on activities (similar to a live ticker), display the composition of community member profiles, and publish a leadership board. These real-time insights foster a sense of competition, recognition, and deeper connection within the community.

The purpose of Data Sharing Options is to keep members informed and motivated by highlighting ongoing activities, showcasing community demographics, and celebrating top contributors.

Core Functions
• Activity Stream:

  Displays real-time updates of activities happening across the community directly in the member portal. This allows members to see when others join events, complete tasks, or achieve milestones, driving momentum and engagement.

• DataShare™:

  Shares aggregate, anonymized information about the profile of the community, such as member demographics, aggregated locations, or other profile attributes. This gives members a sense of belonging and helps them understand the diversity and strengths of the community.

• LeaderBoard:

  Publicly displays a leaderboard ranking members based on points earned through community activities. Members can view their own standing and see the activities that contribute to point accumulation, such as completing surveys, participating in discussions, or referring new members.

Glossary Terms
• Community Portal:

  The online platform where members access and engage with the community.

• Live Ticker:

  A continuously updating feed that shows live events or activities as they happen.

  Aggregate summary data showing demographics or attributes of the community membership.
