We are enrolled in a Business Organizational Behavior and Management class at the University of Vermont. For this class we are required to collect information on the ways in which organization function. Our team is speciffically focusing on team dynamics.
Usually, do you prefer to work as a group or individually? If you prefer a group, how many people is ideal? Is there a designated leader for your team? If so, how often do you interact with them? How often does your team meet face-to-face? Do you feel you have a clear understanding of what your job entails? (Responsibilities, requirements, etc.)? Do you feel that everyone on the team understands the rules and norms for how you’ll work together? Do you feel the goals/tasks are clearly outlined? Do you find your goals challenging? Do you feel that you have a voice in the decision making process? How often, if ever, have you found yourself comparing your performance vs. another employee’s performance? Have you ever felt inequity? If so, did you do anything about it? What sense of belonging do you feel to your group? How well do you feel you know your team members personally? Have you participated in any team development activities since being employed? If so, did you feel that you benefited from the activity(s)? Have you ever gotten together with other employees in a social atmosphere? Did you find it productive to the team? Have you ever had a conflict with someone else in the workplace? If so, was it resolved? How? How much ownership do you feel over your work? Do you find that you are given ample opportunities to give feedback regarding your work, coworkers, and the organizational culture as a whole? |
