Welcome!

You are invited to participate in a research study of corrections and criminal justice classes at Temple University. This study will involve your participation in an on-line questionnaire in which you will be asked questions about your attitudes toward incarcerated people and toward learning. You are being asked to participate in this study because you are enrolled in a criminal justice class at Temple University for the fall 2005 semester.

Your participation in this study is important. Researchers, instructors, and students need to know if college courses are beneficial to students; that is, they need to know if certain criminal justice courses are helping students to learn in the best way possible. Results from this questionnaire will help researchers explore how and why classes and teaching styles make an impact on students.

PROCEDURE

Once you have agreed to participate, you will begin an on-line questionnaire. Some questions will instruct you to click on the response that most closely reflects your attitudes. Other questions will ask you to respond by typing in a text box. This questionnaire will contain about 60 multiple choice questions and 2 open-ended questions. It should take you about 10-15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

In order for your responses to be saved, you must complete the questionnaire. If you choose to stop taking the questionnaire after you have started, your responses will not be saved. If you try to take the questionnaire again, you will need to start at the begining.
