Research Topic: A framework for the governance of outsourced data-warehouse projects.
My name is Priyam Shah and I am conducting a research project with Mr. Peter O’Donnell, a lecturer at Caulfield School of Information Technology, Monash University. I am doing this research towards achieving Masters by Research degree in Information Management and Systems.
This research aims to evaluate the issues involved in the governance & outsourcing of the data warehouse projects and intends to come up with a governance framework that can facilitate effective outsourcing practice of the data warehouse projects.
Data warehouses are a high risk/high return propositions and this magnitude increases many folds in case of outsourced projects. One of the major reasons for the lack of interest in the outsourcing of data warehouse-business intelligence projects is the in-ability of the organizations to employ effective governance practices.
You are invited to participate in this survey. The survey consists of four sections namely: demographic information, organizational data-warehouse information, organizational data warehouse governance practice, and organizational data warehouse outsourcing practice. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey.

-Federal: Business units in association with IT or top level corporate management
-IT Duopoly: IT people in association with top level corporate management
