Internet Auctions

Sample Survey

Hello:

You are invited to participate in our survey on Internet (Online) Auctions. In this survey, approximately 100 people will be asked to complete a survey consisting of 40 questions. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire.

I’m an undergraduate from the National University of Singapore and I’m currently researching on the possible reasons and/or motivations that might influence one to use consumer to consumer (C2C) open online auctions to buy things.

More specifically, I am looking at the usage of eBay and Yahoo! Auctions. C2C open online auctions are generally those that allow individuals to sell or buy one’s personal merchandises/items, somewhat similar to a garage-sale.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.

Your survey responses will be stricly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. It will only be used to further academic research in the field of Internet Auctions. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact us via email at the email address specified below.
