Project Description

Internet telephony involves telephone calls made over the Internet through various media. The traffic for such telephony is estimated to grow in coming years, and offers a big market opportunity for Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSPs) in India. The penetration of basic telephony services in the Indian market is low compared to the worldwide standards. The Indian consumer is also highly cost-sensitive. At the same time, the demand for telephony services has been increasing, and infrastructure has been improving in response to that. Against this backdrop, the introduction of internet telephony kiosks in big cities like Bangalore could be a big market opportunity that needs to be exploited with due care and market research

Project Abstract

To decide whether it is feasible to introduce internet telephony kiosks at various sites in Bangalore; the entry strategy involving the locations, size and number of the kiosks; and the pricing and promotion strategies.
