This research project is about a developmental disorder. ADHD is an external developmental disorder as stated by Austin, T. et al. (2014). The following information was found in Abnormal Psychology: a South African perspective. “Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder is a chronic and pervasive developmental condition characterised by problems with sustained attention, impulse control and activity regulation.” (Austin, T. et al. 2014: 515). We will explore possible methods in which teachers and parents can support ADHD learners. We are conducting a study about how ADHD influences children’s daily lives, what the ripple effect of this disorder is. The proposal will contain a solution for teachers, learners and parents.
