You are being asked to participate in a research study evaluating attitudes toward community supervision and rehabilitation.

The research procedures involve completion of a survey that will take no more than half an hour and for which you will receive half a unit credit. The survey includes a series of simple demographic questions, one scale that includes 7 items, and another scale that includes 9 items.

There is no foreseeable discomfort associated with this study as no identifiable information is collected.

Participation in this study is voluntary. There is no cost to you for participating. You may refuse to participate or discontinue your involvement at any time without penalty.

All research data collected will be stored securely and confidentially in locked cabinets at the University of California, Irvine, and on a secure server with additional security measures employed.

The research team and authorized UCI personnel may have access to your study records to protect your safety and welfare. Any information derived from this research project that personally identifies you will not be voluntarily released or disclosed by these entities without your separate consent, except as specifically required by law.
