Dear participant:

I would like to invite you to participate in my doctoral study on: Beyond Greening. The study includes research on climate change practices of selected firms in Australia and South Africa. The major purpose of this research is to assess the effectiveness of firms’ climate change practices in achieving better competitive performance of firms and the capabilities that drive this. In this survey, approximately 1000 firms (upto 2000 respondents) will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about climate, carbon and extreme weather events management practices. It will take approximately twenty (20) minutes to complete the questionnaire.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point. However it is very important for us to learn your opinions.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. Also, please note that this research has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the University of Wollongong.
