A Web landing page should quickly get across the key goal of the page ("What is this page about?") and also make it very easy for the visitor to take a next action. ("What looks interesting now that I'm here?")

For this exercise, focus on what you would want a visitor to know and do once they have seen your practice (field or capability) page.

Imagine a visitor (a member of the 9,000) arriving in March 2012. What would you want them to notice first on the page? (A statement of your practice's goals? The most recent knowledge piece? Something else?) What second? And third?

Next, what would you want them to do? We can't know the exact needs of every visitor before they arrive, but if you could ask them to do only one or two things, what would they be? (Read an article? Sign up for a mailing list? Take a survey?)

This is your chance to make choices based on the goals and maturity of your particular practice. Based on your responses, we will develop recommendations for designs, tools, and content to support the needs of the practice pages when we launch in Q1 of next year.
