A key priority for the World Bank Group is supporting private sector activity and economic growth in conflict-affected and fragile economies (CAFE). The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank Group, is conducting a survey among exporters, investors, and banks to guage investment and trade flows to these economies. Your input is critically important as we seek to better understand market environment and better meet market needs in these countries. In particular, your feedback will assist us in the development of a risk mitigation facility for trade and investment.
Please take just 15 minutes of your time to fill out the following questionnaire. Thank you!

MIGA is currently proposing a conflict-affected and fragile economies facility (CAFEF) to help support trade and investment flows into such countries. The Facility will offer export credit and investment insurance for trade and investment projects to these economies – higher risk environments and where long-term financing may be difficult to obtain. Under the facility, export credit (funding and insurance) could be obtained and would cover both commercial and non-commercial risk in such transactions as buyer credit, supplier credit, line of export credit, forfeiting, and factoring. Investment insurance would also provide coverage against traditional political risk for local investment projects. Typical coverages include nationalization/expropriation, currency inconvertibility, war and civil disturbance, and breach of contract. See definitions for more information. |
