The purpose of this research is to improve upon the hiring processes used by employing agencies to hire Registered Nurses (RNs). I am asking nursing students from the University of West Florida, who are enrolled in a BSN degree program to complete this electronic survey. More specifically, you will be asked to provide demographic information, complete web-based Frame Of Reference (FOR) training, review resumes, and make mock decisions based on the resume reviews.

The data collected for this research study will be entirely confidential; your answers will not be given to anyone outside the research team.

(1) Data obtained from this study may provide nursing professionals information that would allow them to better execute objective hiring procedures.

(2) Information obtained from this study may provide hospitals and other employing agencies with additional information regarding hiring practices.

This survey will take approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete. Your responses will be automatically compiled in a spreadsheet and cannot be linked to you. All data will be stored in a password protected electronic format. The results of the study will be used for scholarly purposes only.
