Hi there, gamer!
We want to ask you some questions aboud DRM in gaming.

First, what is DRM?

DRM is an acronym for Digital Rights Management, a broad term used to describe a number of techniques for restricting the free use and transfer of digital content. DRM is used in a number of media, but is most commonly found in videos, music files and GAMES.

In short: it is some sort of computer program that control over how you use your bought games/music/etc. So if try to run it without buying... it wont let you do that. Often it wont let you sell it to someone else.

Some examples:
Steam / Games For Windows Live - they force you to be connected to their server to be able to play, they dont let you sell your games to anyone.

XBox Live, PSN - same as above, they wont let you run on your console anything you didnt buy from them.

DRM in Assasins Creed II - it wont let you play game if you are not connected to their auth server.
