Hello:

GIAL wants to extend the usefulness of its courses, and we need your help.

The Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics (GIAL) is an accredited (SACS) institution offering both training and degrees in areas related to language and culture. We offer specialized training in language-related work such as linguistics, literacy and Bible translation. GIAL is now exploring the feasibility of offering a more general set of studies for people planning to work cross-culturally but who will not be specialists in language translation ministries. This set of studies would focus on preparing workers with language learning methods and tools, understanding other cultures very different from one’s own, and carrying out ministry in a cross-cultural environment.

Will you answer a few questions so our administrators can shape this program to best serve the mission community?
