Hello Lack of Skilled / Educated Workers Taskforce Member:
You are receiving this survey to provide feedback or input into the strategies and objectives being recommended to the NW Roundtable of Economic Developers.  What follows was previously presented during Director Downing's visit.  Our interest is to solicit feedback in the way of comment and prioritization of our recommendations.  This initial survey intends to make sure that we are in agreement with what is being presented to the Roundtable.  You may want to restate, suggest deletion or suggest a topic not listed.  Your feedback/input will be used to create the survey  to be shared on paper at our 3/26/15 meetig and subsequently completed following the meeting.  The results will be shared at the April meeting.  Please submit this initial survey by COB Monday 3/23/15.  Thank you for your time and participation!  - Steve Dempsey
 
 
 
Does the following reflect a strategic goal that should be recommended to the NW Roundtable? Please comment below. Goal: Produce a comprehensive workforce development document that provides rationale and support for specific workforce development related initiatives available in the NW Region. The document will be used to help empower communities and their constituents and will be routinely updated.
   
 
 
 
Does the following reflect a strategic goal that should be recommended to the NW Roundtable? Please comment below. Goal: Work with the Missouri Economic Research Information Center (MERIC) to develop a Workforce Availability Analysis Report for ED projects that speaks to the quality and availability of capable and skilled workers across the NW Region, particularly new businesses.
   
 
 
 
Does the following reflect a strategic goal that should be recommended to the NW Roundtable? Please comment below Goal: Develop a position statement, in partnership with Heartland Foundation that encourages engagement by the business community with NW Region school systems and our emerging workforce for the technical and soft skills needed by our growing or expanding business community. Models like Northland CAPS will be highlighted and encouraged.
   
 
 
 
Does the following reflect a strategic goal that should be recommended to the NW Roundtable? Please comment below. Goal: Develop a position statement that encourages recognition of and achievment within the Missouri-sponsored Certified WorkReady Community (CWRC) inititative. Begin with polling "interest and intent" by each NW Region county while noting progress and accomplishment, as well as challenges and barriers.
