Dear friends in Christ,

The desired outcome of this very brief survey is to solicit your input regarding a possible new paradigm that is being considered to increase the effectiveness, validity, dissemination of important information and reflection of meaningful information to better insure a firm foundation for couples seriously contemplating marriage.

As you know, we are working with a younger generation that is very mobile and technologically savvy.  Consequently, to impact more couples in the future, much of the information related to marital preparation could be accessed on-line with a follow-up counseling session via Skype.  This would make distance and scheduling less of an ordeal while lowering the cost.

The entire Marital Preparation Program could also become more comprehensive and rigorous to decrease likelihood of a couple "faking good" or going through the motions without optimal discernment, self-evaluation, and linkage to a Christian faith commitment.

Let me know your honest opinion regarding the following questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mark J. Britzman, Licensed Psychologist.

Would you consider having couples that will be married at your church utilize a comprehensive and rigorous Marital Preparation Program developed by myself that would be primarily website based with exception of follow-up session? The information for on-line Marital Preparation Program would include but not be limited to Christ-centered and evidenced based information presented in the form of video, activities, PowerPoint slides, podcasts, assessments of perceived strengths and growth areas, and an integration examination. The follow-up session could be conducted via Skype if necessitated because of distance concerns.
